This website was created for the residents of Green County to learn more about the proposed placement of industrial wind turbines in Jefferson Township.
The people who manage this website are strongly opposed to the Sugar River Wind Project, which proposes placing 24 industrial wind turbines in Jefferson Township. These 499’ towers will loom over our homes, farm animals and wildlife. They will cause - we believe the scientific evidence shows - negative health, financial and environmental outcomes for all of us.
The goal of this website is to provide relevant and credible information about industrial wind energy and its developer, France-based EDF, as well as to hold our county leaders responsible for the decisions they make about this project.
